Scope and Content The Bandelier collection consists of artifacts, documents, illustrations, maps, and photographs. For the most part all are in stable condition. The bulk of the collection came to the library upon the death of Mrs. Fanny Ritter Bandelier in accordance with the terms of her will. Scope and Content

Collection consists of a series of letters from Adolph Bandelier concerning the writing and publication of his novel The Delight Makers. Sixteen of the letters are written by Bandelier to colleagues. The seventeenth is a letter from Scribners and Sons, rejecting Bandelier's manuscript.

Abstract

The collection consists of 1 roll of tracings of Indian ruins made evidently in 1882 by Adolph Bandelier, and about 34 sheets of varying sizes with 158 individual sketches from his journals, as well as 11 laminated reprints.

Collection contains drafts/transcriptions for the Adolph Bandelier diaries covering 1885 - 1892 (published in four volumes by the University of New Mexico Press). Included are transcripts of Bandelier material from 1880 - 1891 prepared by A. J. O. Anderson and Fanny Bandelier. A file of approximately 820 index cards with names is also included.

Abstract

The bulk of this collection is correspondence between author Jack Schaefer and librarian Arthur DeVolder at Zimmerman Library, University of New Mexico, regarding research materials later used as background information for Schaefer's writings.

Scope and Content Collection includes correspondence of Paul A. F. Walter while he served as Secretary of the School of American Archaeology and later the School of American Research during the years 1913-1917, 1921-1922, and 1925-1928.
