Scope and Content
Collection contains photogrammetric plans of towns, pueblos, archaeological sites, and buildings in New Mexico and Arizona. Collection also contains photogrammetric plans of buildings in Vermont, Illinois, Ohio, and New York; and Sweden and Greece.
Photogrammetry is the practice of determining the geometric properties of objects from photographic images. Photogrammetry is used by archaeologists to quickly produce plans of large or complex sites.

Biographical Information
Perry Borchers was an architectural photogrammetrist and architect and was a Professor of Architecture at Ohio State University. Trained in architecture at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm, Sweden, he introduced archtectural photogrammetry in the United States in 1956. Perry Borchers passed away in 2006.
