Abstract

Lincoln County Ranch located near Glencoe, New Mexico. Loose-leaf binder of summary records comprised of charts, graphs, maps, forms, and other documents created by S. W. “Jack” Land, primarily covering ranching operations from 1928-1940 with some data back to 1918. Includes information on various cost elements for maintaining a cow and producing a calf; income and expenditures; equipment, tool and improvement inventories; stock tank, fencing and salt locations; animal inventories; herd and stocking records; breeding seasons; weaning weights; pest and disease control; government lands leased; and a diary of activities entitled “Saga of a Two-Bit Cow Outfit, 1928-1940, Inclusive.”
