Chester G. Bell letters, 1917-1919
Scope and Content Note
The Chester G. Bell letters consist of Bell's correspondence to his mother from the years of 1917 to 1919. The letters are separated by year in three folders. There are also two photographs of a young man shooting a rifle, presumably a photo of Chester Bell. The letters describe day to day life at Camp Furlong and in the Army.

Biographical Sketch
Chester G. Bell was a soldier in the 12th Cavalry, M.G.J, stationed at Camp Furlong in Columbus, New Mexico. His mother lived in Chicago, Illinois during the period of his encampment from 1917 to 1919. Nothing further is known about him.
