General

Contents are on one track on CD. Ken Keppeler and Jeanie McLerie, both on violin and guitar. Keppler and McLerie played with Ortiz from 1984 until his death in 1996. He learned violin by ear, from listening to his relatives and other musicians of the area. He played since he was nine, first on a hand-made instrument and later a real violin given him by an older cousin. Except for a few tunes he learned from the radio, he played the older traditional dance tunes of northern New Mexico.
