Scope and Content This collection contains 17 oral history interviews on 21 audio cassette tapes. In addition, there are 19 detailed tape logs, one for each of the recorded interviews and 2 additional transcripts for interviews that do not have audio tapes. The interviews in this collection were undertaken as research for Sandra Schackel's dissertation. Collection consists of typed documents produced by employees of the W.P.A. and its subdivision the Federal Writer's Project in New Mexico. Most of the collection is made up of transcripts of oral history interviews conducted with New Mexicans, and folklore and stories about New Mexico and Hispanic culture in particular.
