Guide to the Bruce T. Ellis Collection,

The Bruce T. Ellis Collection consists of various original and photostatic copies of the Spanish, Mexican and American period of New Mexico's history. Ellis, a former employee of the Museum of New Mexico's History Bureau, collected and saved many of these diverse documents from destruction. Scope and Content In 1968, Ms. J. K. Shishkin was assigned by Mr. Carlos Nagel, the director of the Museum of New Mexico, to write a history of the Palace of the Governors. In 1972, Ms. Shishkin submitted this manuscript consisting of 405 typewritten pages and 28 handwritten pages of footnotes. Carl E.
