"Belen.” Collector – A. A. Carter. Informant, Mrs. Ella May Chaves, 1936-1940
Collection consists of typed documents produced by employees of the W.P.A. and its subdivision the Federal Writer's Project in New Mexico. Most of the collection is made up of transcripts of oral history interviews conducted with New Mexicans, and folklore and stories about New Mexico and Hispanic culture in particular.
Howard Bryan Collection
The Howard Bryan Collection contains approximately 200 prints (many are copy prints) and a few negatives related to Bryan’s personal life and career as a journalist, and to historical New Mexico subjects and events. Highlights of the collection include original photographs of New Mexico ghost towns (ca. 1958 - 1970), as well as holiday parties with esteemed guests (ca. 1960s - 1970s).
