Scope and Content The collection was acquired in 1992 (HP.1992.54) and 1993 (HP.1993.11) as gifts from the estate of Harold D. Walter's wife, Mae Walter. It includes several hundred black and white prints and negatives and 35mm color slides of New Mexico and Colorado landscapes and buildings, governors of New Mexico and other individuals. Scope and Content

The collection consists primarily of photographic images of Santa Fe, New Mexico circa 1900-1920. Images include the Penitentiary, Fiesta, and the Conquistadora Procession. Also documented are people, buildings, homes, daily life, and street scenes. Other subjects include various cities, including Albuquerque and Taos, and pueblos of New Mexico. The collection consists entirely of original prints.

The Officials of New Mexico Photograph Collection is comprised of portraits of public officers of New Mexico, dating from the early twentieth century.

Scope and Content The collection consists of carte de visite photographs dating from the 1860s to the 1920s. Images measure approximately 2.5 x 4 inches or the reverse. Most are albumen prints mounted on cards bearing imprints of the photographers either on the front margin or on the back. This small collection consists of portraits of New Mexico notables in various formats, sizes and mounted on card stock and stereo views of New Mexico scenes. Stereos include W.H. Brown, Bennett and Brown, and George C. Bennett with duplicates attributed to both. Photographers image number in parenthesis.
